- Core Group. Over the next several months, we are praying that God would bring together a growing number of people in greater Reading whose identity is being forged around this vision.
- Prayer team. Mel and Cindy see prayer as key for support for our family and for the mission and development of this new church. They desire to build a prayer team that meets monthly to pray for this project.
- Financial support team. Pray that God will raise up churches, foundations and individuals who have a heart to see more gospel ministry prosper and evangelism grow through church planting in Reading/Berks County. This church plant project is a “scratch start” – which means that the first year will be spent developing a core group, infrastructure, and funding. The Susquehanna Valley Presbytery has committed start-up funds for the project, and Pastor Mel is committed to laboring to see it prosper. Would you like to be involved but cannot join our core group? You can still pray and give through Mission to North America (100% of donations to The Reading Project come directly to our account):
